At Perfect Skin Dermatology, we prioritize you—not your insurance card. Our Direct Patient Care model is designed to give you more access, more transparency, and more time with Dr. Susan Schroeder. This page will guide you through everything you need to know before your visit.
What Is Direct Patient Care?
Direct Patient Care (DPC) means we work for you—not insurance companies. You pay directly for the services you receive, without copays, hidden fees, or third-party restrictions. It’s simple, clear, and gives you full control over your care.

Appointment Times & Pricing
You choose how much time you need. Fees are based on appointment length, and common minor procedures are affordably added during your visit.

31–45 min | $400 | Complex issues, 3–4 procedures, skin cancer follow-ups |
45–60 min | $500 | Medical + cosmetic concerns, extended procedures |

Note: Some time slots require a deposit to reserve. We’ll let you know at the time of booking.
Payment Information
- All visits are paid at the time of service.
- We accept: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, debit cards, and cash.
- No checks accepted at this time.
- Minor add-ons like cryotherapy, shave biopsies, and injections are $50–$75 flat rate.
Other Fees
- Superbill (coding for out-of-network claims): $5
- Prior authorizations: $25–$50
- Forms (e.g., FMLA): $25
How to Schedule
You can schedule directly through our online portal or request a callback via our contact form.
A credit card is securely held on file and only charged for no-shows ($75 fee).
Insurance & Waivers Information
We do not bill insurance or submit claims. You may still use your insurance for labs, imaging, pathology, or prescriptions ordered through our office. However:
- Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, and supplemental plans do not reimburse for our services.
- Patients with these insurances must sign a private waiver before care.
Notice of Services & Direct Pay Policy
We require a signed acknowledgment of our care model before your first appointment.
