Susan Schroeder MD
Biography
Susan Schroeder, MD is both a skilled dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. Although she addresses all aspects of general dermatology and is a recognized expert in skin cancer diagnosis/treatment, her true calling is cosmetic and surgical dermatology. She treats all ages, from infants to elderly.
Dr. Schroeder is a board-certified dermatologist with additional formal fellowship training in procedures such as Mohs Micrographic Surgery and cosmetic surgery including laser treatments, liposuction, fat transfer, surgical lifts, and injectables (neuromodulators[Botox] and fillers). She is one of a select few in southeast Florida with this advanced level of training (6 years of additional training after medical school). As a former Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at The University of Colorado School of Medicine,, Dr. Schroeder pioneered the inception of the cosmetic dermatology and cosmeceutical division at the University. For the first time, residents were formally taught and exposed (with hands-on training) to this specialty field.
What sets Dr. Schroeder apart is her innate, intuitive eye on balancing a face and proportioning a body: to intrinsically “know” how to make someone more appealing and special. Coupled with fine motor skills honed from years of knitting, sewing, spinning *yes, wool on a wheel), and painting, Dr. Schroeder is sure to deliver the best outcome possible. She is known for her virtually invisible scars.
Originally from New York, Schroeder is an alumnus of Choate-Rosemary Hall and Columbia College (Columbia University). She received her Medical Degree from New York Medical College and completed Medical Internship, Dermatology Residency and Cosmetic/Surgical Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. A little known fact is that Dr Schroeder also has an art background and holds an Associate’s degree from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. Dr. Schroeder brings a wealth of knowledge to Palm Beach and Jupiter from her years of experience and expertise. Nothing brings her more satisfaction than making you look and feel amazing about how you present to the world.
