Since its debut in 1986, tumescent liposuction has revolutionized the process of restoring attractive definition and a healthy, contoured physique. This technique is widely regarded as a low-risk alternative to traditional liposuction techniques. Due to the absence of general anesthesia when suctioning fat from the abdominal, flank, hip, thigh, chin, underarm, and other areas, tumescent liposuction supports a faster recovery. Our board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon at Perfect Skin Dermatology, Dr. Susan Schroeder, is privileged to offer an affordable alternative to conventional fat-reducing treatments in Juno Beach, Florida.
Tumescent lipo differs from traditional “dry” lipo in that the process involves introducing a dilute lidocaine and epinephrine anesthetic solution to temporarily constrict the blood vessels supplying the treated area, thereby keeping the anesthetic localized and minimizing bleeding during the procedure. Also, tumescent liposuction has considerably minimized the recovery and downtime traditionally required of patients following surgery.
Time is money, and many of Dr. Schroeder’s patients appreciate that they don’t need multiple return trips to our office over several months to get definitive results. Liposuction can be a “one and done” procedure, depending on your needs and goals. The total cost depends on factors such as the size and the number of areas treated. We consider the “whole you,” including your budget when developing and discussing treatment plans and options. We also have a financing option through CareCredit®.
