Time takes its toll on us all, and patients are often looking to achieve younger-looking skin without resorting to more invasive surgical facelifts, less impactful peels, or injectables. Profound® is a nonsurgical micro-needling radiofrequency energy device that results in smoother, younger-looking skin without prolonged downtime.
Dr. Susan Schroeder is a certified dermatologist treating patients in or near Juno Beach, Florida. She specializes in a broad range of treatments that can reverse or undo the effects of aging. At your appointment, she’ll review your goals, and together you’ll outline a treatment plan customized to meet your needs.
Profound® is clinically proven to stimulate the production of your own:
These naturally occurring elements are what give your skin firmness and elasticity. As you age, your body slows the production of them over time. Profound® treatments can re-energize this process, increasing your body’s production of those elements to give your skin a more youthful, healthy appearance. Profound® is a micro-needling technique that uses the precise temperature and pulse frequency necessary to dramatically boost the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, giving you younger-looking, visibly smoother skin for two to three years.
Profound® can also be used to reduce the appearance of cellulite and laxity on other parts of your body, including your abdomen, buttocks, thighs, and arms, tightening and rejuvenating the skin. Talk to Dr. Schroeder about your trouble areas to determine if Profound® is right for you.
With Profound®, patients may experience redness, bruising, and swelling immediately after treatment, but these symptoms should settle on their own within 6-8 days. Dr. Schroeder will explain the steps you can take to mitigate any discomfort or swelling. You will be able to apply make-up the day after treatment.
